Keeping busy and Disney Dreaming....

Wow!  It's been so long...AGAIN..since my last blog post.   So much has taken place since.  In March (just about a week before Aidan's 4th Birthday in Heaven) we found out we were expecting a little miracle.  It was a huge unexpected surprise. But..before the excitement could settle in, we had to say goodbye.  On May 5th my water broke and our little Star Magnolia was born at home.  The whole thing took a big toll on my body, and it landed me in the hospital for a week, needing a blood transfusion.  I've come very far since and continue to get stronger each day.  It was hard to say goodbye to another child..But..I know they are together in Heaven.

I decided to try and put my focus on making memories, and having a fun Summer with the twins.

Also, looking forward to our Florida trip in the Fall, where Eli & Ezra will meet Mickey Mouse for the very first time!!  I am totally pumped!!  Of course, I needed to make every detail extra special.  I began making clothes for our adventures in Disney.  (I ordered Daddy's on etsy)

A bow for Mommy!

My 1st pairs of Hand Painted Shoes!!

Seemed like the perfect quote!!  "Have faith in your dreams..and someday..Your Rainbow(s) will coming smiling through!!"

I'm working on an Alice shirt as well.  Alice in Wonderland is one of my twins' favorite movies!!

I'm planning on getting the twins their very first Mickey Ears at Downtown Disney before our Magic Kingdom adventure.  Yay!!

I have enrolled in a photography course.  Although, it's not a regular class one uses to acquire photography skills.  This course is a journey of healing.  It is called Illuminate.  It is a 4 week course, where I will share my story and photos.   Each week is different with new challenges.  On week one, I will need to write a letter to Aidan and submit 3 self portraits telling my story and who I am.  I will be submitting my weekly assignments through my blog.  It will be a rocky road I'm sure, but one of beauty, of life, death and new life.  I hope you can join me on this adventure..and bare with me through the tough parts.  Grab your tissues.  I haven't even begun and the tears have started flowing, just knowing what's ahead.

Owls x2! ..and Holidays x4!!'s mid January and I am just getting to blogging about Eli & Ezra's Halloween costumes. #Twins! Hahaha!  We had already had adorable owl hats, so I decided to make their costumes to match.  I started with the wings.  After picking out some great fabrics and felts I began to cut, stitch and glue!

I took white long sleeve onesies and hand stitched some feathers on the front.  I stitched the wings to the onesie and voila! Instant twin owls!! Some striped baby legs finished off the look.
Of course I had to make them matching Treat Bags!!

Nosey little owls, spying on the neighbors!

After Halloween, and our very 1st Trick-Or-Treat, it was time to start planning for Thanksgiving.  I started with a new wreath for our front door.  A little burlap, a wooden letter, and some flowers from the dollar store and bam! Fall Wreath!
Thanksgiving came and went..the twins wore adorable little shirts made by The Shabby Cupcake..aka..Me!
It was time to make matching Christmas Eve jammies for the family...but not before I finished the advent calender..

 And some Rudolf Shirts!

Which were perfect to wear while decorating the tree!

Here are the twins jammies!!

We had a great Christmas morning!!

New Years was a blast! We partied Gatsby fun!!

Happy New Year!!

WELL!!  If that wasn't four holidays on hyper drive! Phew!! But don't be fooled, there was so much more in between.  Christmas Lights, Gingerbread Parties, Cookies, more sewing and crafting and much, much more!  Hopefully, we are all caught up now! Here's to a new year of blogging..... and having time for blogging!   Stay sweet!

Slow down..Don't grow too fast!!

As each day goes by, my little ones learn something new.  Each outing is an adventure.  Each second a blessing.  Watching Eli stand up by himself, or seeing Ezra try to twirl like Mommy,  makes my heart flutter.  I'm taking many pictures and logging memories into journals.  I'm soaking it all's going so fast.  Yesterday the twins turned 16 months.  I finally got around to making them a growth chart, and we logged our first heights.

I stepped back from the clothesline.  Shirts, shorts, bathing suits, onesies, all hanging two by two.  "I'm raising twins! Oh my God..I have twins!! And they are mine!"  Yes, I still have these moments.  When you have multiples, you are almost on auto pilot, moving through the day and trying to keep everyone happy and safe.  When the boys are sleeping, my mind is able to just wander where it wants to. That's the only way I can explain it.  It's in these moments that I am most thankful.  I have felt heartache, I STILL feel the pain...But...I wouldn't have my rainbows, had it not been for the rain.  My boys are my world..all three of them.
